Thanks for the quick response and fix!

Every time I try to launch the game it tries to open steam?

Great little game, gets super fun when you get full sword and heat upgrades and just go crazy all over the arena, not even touching the movement keys. It would be awesome if the game continued to ramp up once you get those upgrades, and also if it was rebalanced a little. The sword is useless before getting upgraded as enemies do not stop shooting/attacking when you hit them and the shooting ones make no visual indication of when they'll fire at you. Also, the gun stops being useful after the sword is upgraded because the upgraded gun still takes 2-4 shots to kill whereas the upgraded sword only takes one hit to kill.

Anyway, had a ton of fun with it and I hope you'll continue with this in the future.

What isn't going to happen, you writing a reply that makes sense? If you're going to call my comments "screaming" while giving false and completely un-researched information yourself you hardly have the right to act like I'm the one being childish.

Steam is not a publisher either. Steam is just the store, just like humble, gog and itch. As I JUST said in my previous reply, many games on the humble store have BOTH DIRECT DOWNLOADS, AND, steam keys available.

"have you ever seen a game that's been published on Steam and also on another site?"

All the time? Humble store, GOG and even this very website itch.io, which by itself has Brigador, Nuclear Throne, Snakebird, Captain Forever Remix, Sky Rogue and hundreds if not thousands of others which are all also on steam. In fact, many games on the humble store have both direct downloads and steam keys available. Look it up sometime.

If I buy a game I expect to have access to it forever, not for as long as an account or someone else's servers are active. Steam and other DRM services do nothing to stop piracy and being satisfied with my product does not come second to anti-theft measures. Attitudes like yours are what has caused DRM to become such a (rightfully named) stigma to the PC gaming landscape. You are not the developer, not the one I'm asking and nobody had you to come and try to convince me to not even ask my question. Please do not reply again.

Are you releasing the full game here as well? The description said nothing of being steam-only when I bought the early version and I'd like to direct download the full game too.
